Risk Management

Planning for the unexpected

At Integra Wealth Management, we get it—you’ve worked hard for your money and deserve the best financial well-being available. That’s why our team of industry professionals provide resources that can help you protect and grow your wealth with confidence.

To better determine your risk profile and help you realize your financial goals safely and confidently we provide the following risk management services:

  • Leveraging Riskalzye (Nitrogen) technology to help clients identify their Risk Score, a number used as a fingerprint for a client’s risk attitude overall and for specific portfolios of investments.
  • This unique process gives a simple speed limit sign, a higher number means a higher level of risk and potential return.
  • Our team uses this number to develop our financial plans and evaluate existing portfolio holdings, to determine that a client’s risk is in line with their investment objectives.

Questions about investment risk

Is a risk score a guarantee about my portfolio?

No. A risk score is a tool for discussing your attitudes to investment uncertainty and assessing how holdings relate to your objectives. It does not predict every market outcome or guarantee protection from losses. Your goals, the timing of withdrawals and your broader financial circumstances remain important parts of the discussion.

How can I prepare for a risk discussion?

Consider how you would feel about a decline in portfolio value, when you expect to use the money and which goals depend on those assets. Bring questions about the role of different accounts and ask what information would help the team assess your situation. Avoid treating a questionnaire result as a complete financial plan.

Where does risk management fit into other services?

Risk considerations connect with investment planning, retirement income needs and your broader financial plan. Our Paramus team can discuss these relationships. Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal; no planning approach removes all uncertainty.
